How Do Hypnotherapy and Tft Work so Fast?

When it comes to relieving stress, anxiety, fears and phobias, there are treatments that are medical and there are treatments that are alternative. The medical treatments offer the huge possibility of side effects and only work in a small sector of the population for an extended period of time. On the other hand, hypnotherapy when combined with TFT, offers quick results in as little as a few minutes, in some cases, and the results are lasting without the chance of side effects.

At the heart of TFT, or thought field therapy, are taps to the skin. These taps are manipulated on certain areas of the body where negative thoughts and feelings rise to the surface. When battling with anxiety, stress, fears and phobias, these negative feelings rise to the surface and are tapped out to balance the Qi. But, in order for TFT to work, the patient must first know the source of the negative feelings.

This need for a source is where hypnotherapy comes into play. When TFT is utilized for a patient, they must be thinking about the source of their anxiety, stress, fear or phobia. If that source is unknown, the negative feelings can not rise to the surface and the treatment will be ineffective. Hypnotherapy opens these minds wide through hypnosis to allow the hypnotherapist to find the source of the negative feelings of anxiety, stress, fear or phobia. Once that source is located, the hypnotherapist is able to speak with the patient about the source and thus provide the needed knowledge to bring the negative feelings to the surface.

Once the negative feelings are on the surface of the body, the TFT specialist can tap out the feelings and bring the Qi back into focus. This can take mere minutes and the patient will leave the combination session with the relief they have been searching for, for so very long without a medical prescription and a thesis on side effects.

The tapping takes place at what are termed meridian points. These meridian points are located on the upper sections of the body and the hands. Only those trained in the specialized TFT will know the exact locations of these meridian points and be able to effectively treat anxiety, stress, fear and phobias in minutes. While there may be many doctors who claim to be trained in TFT or other therapies based upon tapping on certain points of the body, only Roger Callahan (the founder of TFT) offers the true TFT training.

Many patients simply do not understand the alternative therapies available for them today and the methods by which these therapies provide such quick and lasting relief. When it comes to anxiety, stress, fear and phobias, the source feelings are very strong. Anyone who has been in a stressful situation understands how strong these feelings can be by the body’s quick reaction to the feelings. This strength of emotion is at the heart of the quick treatment. Unlike other patient complaints, anxiety, stress, fear and phobias are the most easily treated due to the sheer power of the emotions surrounding the patient. Once they have tuned in to these feelings the TFT methods will work quickly to smooth out the negative Qi and balance the flow for the better.

When all other therapies have failed, or you simply want to try an alternative therapy before taking the chance on the medical treatments will thousands of side effects, the combination hypnotherapy / TFT session can move those negative feelings out of the body in minutes, not weeks or months and the therapies are all natural and lasting.

Hypnotherapy for Smoking Cessation: When Other Remedies Fail

For many people, smoking is a habit they wish to break, but just can not seem to let go of. Smoking fills the body with harmful cancer causing toxins that can lead a normal, healthy individual down the path of a variety of cancers and other ailments in no time flat. But, when all else fails, alternative medicine may be that light at the end of the tunnel. Hypnotherapy is an all natural, safe alternative to the medications on the market that just do not work the way hypnosis works.

Alternative medicine, such as hypnotherapy, is a great solution to a problem that is about more than just taking that next puff. Stopping smoking means a person can regain their life back and have more free time than they ever thought possible. But, in order to regain that freedom, the habit needs to be broken from the inside out. Hypnotherapy is unique in that it rids the mind of the need to smoke and thus makes the smoker feel less like having a puff of tobacco if at all. You are in control and you have the ability, once again, to choose whether or not you want to smoke. That control is the key to quitting smoking.

Tobacco contains nicotine, and just like any other addictive drug, nicotine leads the person to believe that not only want another cigarette, but they need that cigarette. This need can be addressed on the mental level. A hypnotherapist can break down those walls of addiction and reprogram the mind to believe that smoking is not the right choice. This reprogramming is often done in one simple session. There are no drugs, no harmful side effects, just cleaner lungs and a reduced chance of contracting tobacco related illnesses.

The smoker often chooses the more traditional therapies before trying hypnosis as a last straw effort. The benefits of hypnosis for smoking cessation are far greater than any smoker can understand. The drugs on the market aimed at stopping the need for smoking often carry harmful side effects that can be worse on the body than the smoking itself. Hypnosis, on the other hand, is a gentle, natural way to tell your body that you want to be the one in control and not that next puff of tobacco.

The effects of tobacco are far reaching and negative in every aspect. The tobacco can taint the color of your teeth, make your skin look saggy and unhealthy, dull your hair, and make you smell like an old ashtray, not to mention the taste of your kisses. Your children will notice the difference, your partner will notice the difference, but most of all you will notice the difference in a very short period of time and your body will begin to rid itself of the harmful lung compressing effects of cigarettes and other tobacco in just a few days.

If you are tired of smoking and you want instant relief, do not trudge through all of the medications on the market before trying the natural approach. Hypnosis performed by a trained hypnotherapist can find the root cause of the need to smoke. You are not to blame for the habit, the tobacco is to blame. Take back the control that tobacco has taken from you and regain that time spent smoking. Smell better, feel better, look better, and quit smoking today with hypnotherapy.

We may ask ourselves why some people are in abusive relationships, while others never seem to be abused, and can set their boundaries and seemingly be respected and appreciated by their spouse, employer, children and others?

When a person visits my consulting and their main problem is anxiety/depression caused by abusive relationships, I know that there was a problem at the time of the fetus in the mother’s womb. Usually I find that the father had an affair with another woman while the mother was pregnant with the child, now as an adult, suffering the result of the pregnant mother’s abuse.

While under Hypnosis, specifically in the Somnambulistic state, we take the patient back to childhood (age regression), and particularly to a period where the mother was approximately six months pregnant. If the patient is visual, they can not only see what the fingers, toes, etc look like inside the womb, but also what is happening outside. They can tell us what the mother is wearing, who are with her; describe the surroundings, emotions and circumstances. The fascinating part is that we can ask God/the Inner Wisdom/Subconscious Mind/Soul to show us a time (but only if it is the Honest Truth!), when the father was with another woman while the mother was pregnant. I would like to caution practitioners not to give the patient ideas or leading questions, but simply ask them to tell you what is happening.

It is important to understand that not all patients/clients are visual. Some are Auditory (taking information in by listening), Kinaesthetic (more the ‘feeling’ type of person, while others are Digital (or Auditory-Digital), the ones who have a lot of inner-talking, analyzing everything. They will of course not ‘see’ things, but may ‘feel’ or simply ‘know’.

Why does the father’s infidelity cause the pattern of abuse for the fetus in later life? The fetus sees or knows about the affair with the other woman, but can of course not tell the mother. The event is so emotional and traumatic, that it creates the ISE (Initial Sensitizing Event), which is usually not recallable by the conscious mind. Because the subconscious mind is the ‘goal achiever’, it will make sure that this goal is achieved, the goal being ‘Abuse’.

How is it possible that the fetus can see or know what the father did, as it is physically inside the mother’s womb?. We are a soul living in a physical body, but we also have other spiritual bodies, which are very much identical to the physical body, but made of a much lighter type of atom. Most human beings can use the Astral Body and the lower Mental Body, while some have the Higher Mental Body developed. Very few people have Spiritual Bodies finer and higher than the Higher Mental Body developed.

Thus part of the consciousness of the fetus can travel in the Astral or Mental body (the same thing sometimes happens when we dream), and observe what is going on outside the womb. All impressions and perceptions during the foetal stages are formed from events occurring in the direct environment around it.

During a typical consultation the patient will discuss his/her abusive relationships and the consequences on his/her emotions and physical health with me. During age regression, the client will usually have an abreaction (an outburst of emotion), and go directly to the latest event of physical/emotional/mental abuse. Although we have empathy, and let them experience this for a while, we do not do any therapy or counselling at this stage, as we know that this is not the ISE (initial event causing the problem). They may go further back in time where a similar emotion was experienced (usually related to abuse), until we reach the event which caused the abuse, usually in the womb, or infant stage.

It is not only women who are abused. Many men are abused by women, and continually choose the same type of person, until the cause of abuse is found and corrected. It must be emphasized that it does not simply help to take the person back in time and read a script or give suggestions. This is ‘band-aid’ hypnosis, and will not have a lasting effect.  They have to re-live the experience (sometimes 2-3 times during the same session), until it has no more emotional impact.

There is another fascinating part of age-regression which I discovered many years ago, and have been using very effectively for a long time. It is possible to take the client back in time, often with the suggestion of ‘lifting you on a cloud’, to go and see what happened in the abuser’s life (in this case the father – or even the mother of the fetus), that caused him to react in a certain way. We usually find that the father/mother went through a similar event as a fetus, infant or younger child. You may let the client ‘feel’ the parent’s emotion experienced during his childhood trauma. This is usually sufficient to allow the client to forgive the parent.

We usually take the person further back in time to the first time that he/she saw the parents long before conception while still in spirit form, and ask questions like ‘why did you choose to be their child?’, etc.

We then take them back to the time when the ‘contract’ was made with their parents for this life. The patient/client and parents (sometimes only one of the parents), often the grandparents and a spiritual figure, seen as Jesus, an Angel or a light are present during this written or verbal agreement. The person is usually permitted to see and understand why he chose to be their child, and what the lessons were to be learned, or things to overcome. Although not always permitted, we can understand our ‘purpose’ for this life, unless we are not ready for this knowledge.

Another reason why a person can be in abusive relationships, will be when the parents were physically/mentally abusive during the foetal or infant years. This creates a certain perception and programming, and once again the goal of the subconscious mind is abuse. So, do not assume that everybody who is in abusive relationships had parents who had affairs! There could also be a past-life event causing the problem.

It is most important to remember that you cannot let the patient leave your consulting room with this new knowledge without helping him to understand why it happened, facilitating the process until he can truly forgive all parties involved.

Once this is achieved, we will take the patient forward in childhood and adulthood, to go through abusive events, but now the impact of the past events are not nearly as emotional as experienced before eliminating the initial sensitizing event. These events are called SSE’s (Subsequent Sensitizing Events), and should no longer occur once the ISE (cause) is properly treated.

It is important to change the perception implanted in the mind of the fetus; we could call this re-programming, as the mind will always use the latest information first. Should you try and do re-programming and positive suggestions without eliminating the cause, it will only have a temporary effect, and soon the patient will fall back into old patterns.

The time spent to find the cause of the problem, re-living the experience, facilitating the forgiveness process, bringing a deeper understanding of the spiritual lessons involved, effect the necessary re-programming, assisting the client to channel the energy in more effective ways, is worth it! Never rush the session or stop in the middle of it.

There is a lot of help in the unseen world of love, truth and light. I often send up a prayer when I don’t know what to do next, and believe me, it does happen to everyone, even if we have been practicing for many years! God never fails us, and the prayer and request is usually answered, just by knowing where to take the patient next!

We may call it intuition?

Want Relief From Anxiety in London! Visit Londonwellbeingclinic for Best Hypnotherapy in London

There are millions of people all around the world who are suffering from the problem of anxiety or depression or panic attacks or addictions. The biggest problem that they face is not these diseases or problems but their cure.

There are not many good clinics available that can provide relief from the above mentioned problems. As a result of that, the person in spite of taking treatment is unable to get desired results and ultimately he either stops the treatment or gets into more serious problems. Thus it is really very important to go for best treatment from the best clinic in order to get best results and in no time. So if you are also suffering from the problem of anxiety in London as well as several other problems and want to know about the best hypnotherapy in London, then there are several factors you must consider before opting for any clinic:

Goodwill: The first factor you must look for is the goodwill of the clinic. There are several clinics that have good customers but no goodwill. It is very important to get away from such clinics as you can get into more trouble instead of cure from such clinics.

Qualification of expert: Another important factor to keep in mind is the degree or qualification of the expert. If the expert is less qualified, then chances are that you would not get the right treatment.

Quality of services: It is also very important to look for the quality of the services being offered by the clinic. It is so because the quality of services only determines the type of treatment one can expect from a clinic.

Motive of the clinic: The motive of the clinic also determines the quality of the treatment that is available on the clinic. There are several clinics as well as experts who only work with the motive to earn profit. Hence it is important to get away from such clinics or experts. Etc.

Using Hypnotherapy and Placebos to Treat Hypochondria

I recall some years ago when I sat facing a client who could only be described as a Hypochondriac (suffering with imagined illnesses).

She shocked me by telling me that she visited her doctor every day and that he was no good as every time he have her medication, it only ‘cured’ that illness and another illness would occur.

To say the least, I felt sorry for her doctor as I could see that her problem was not being ill but attention seeking. How did I diagnose that? Simply by asking her questions and giving her a sympathetic ear.

“How long have you been married?” – “Fifteen years and two months.”

“Is your husband working?” – “Yes, BUT, he works away from home.” (Client looking very sad.)

“How long does he stay away from home?” – “Oh, he is away from Monday to Friday and only comes home at weekends, and sometimes he also has to work at weekends.” (Client looking a little angry).

“Does he like his job?” – “He likes his job but says he doesn’t like working away from his home. He cannot change it as there are no other jobs he can get.”

“Is he worried that you are always ill?” – “He is like an angel when he is home and looks after me. He worries about me but cannot get another job or become unemployed as we cannot live without his earnings.”

I noticed at this point in our conversation that she pulled her legs up a little and began to ‘pout’ like a small girl.

“It must be very hard for you managing on your own most of the week and not having him there to look after you?” – “I know he has to work so I accept it as part of my life.”

I continued my questioning, which is a necessary part of every Hypnotherapist’s consultation, and then asked her if she knew and understood that I was not only a Hypnotherapist but also practiced homeopathy. She knew I did hypnotherapy but did not know what homeopathy was, so I explained as best I could to her.

I also explained that my treatment for her would also include Homeopathic remedies and asked if that was OK. She was more than happy with that and was excited at the new approach to her many illnesses.

I won’t go into the rest of the session as it involved routine questions such as her medical history and medication etc. which adds no real value to this article.

On conclusion, I gave her two sugar pills (placebos) and gave them a name (which I don’t recall at this time) and explained that they would help to reduce her present symptoms or clear them completely.

The Second Session:

The client returned with a big smile on her face and much earlier than her appointment time.

She reported a total success in removing the symptoms of the illness she had, but, she now had another illness, the first one was stomach pains, now it was tightness in her chest.

On this occasion I used hypnosis to relax her and give her suggestions to help her with the ‘attention seeking’ aspect of her problem. Suggestions such as she had no need to look for admiration from other people as she was a wonderful person who need not answer to anyone else for her looks or personality. (That, of course, is only a very short resume of the total suggestions I used as they changed with each session).

I again gave her placebos and off she went looking very happy.

Then the following day, which was a Saturday, actually confirmed my diagnosis and added some further knowledge to my arsenal in dealing with her problem.

At that time, I also saw clients on Saturdays. My office was in the town centre. I had a gap in my schedule so I went out to do some shopping. And as I was walking to the shops I noticed a couple in front of me that looked as if they were newly weds.

The man was tall and the lady small and she had her arm linked into his and her head on his shoulder. Gazing up at his head. It was as though she was his daughter and admiring him as a daddy. This was as they were walking and with many people around us.

I then realised it was my client. It then struck me that in her husband’s presence, she was reverting back to childhood and behaving as she did as a little girl.

The Third Session:

Again, my client returned looking very happy and reporting total success, but again, she had developed another illness.

I asked her about her father, and learned he was deceased and she missed him very much, after many years.

On this occasion, I decided that I would use hypnosis and role-play as a father and child. I explained to her, whilst she was in hypnosis, that she was to think of me as her daddy (even though many clients do that automatically as they unconsciously consider the Hypnotherapist to be a father figure).

I then assured her, as her daddy, that I loved her and cherished her beyond anyone else etc, etc. and that when she grew up, she would always know I loved her, etc. etc. (This is not a lesson on Hypnotherapy, so I will not go into full details here).

I then gave her another placebo and off she went looking as happy as any human being can.

Subsequent Sessions:

I continued with this line of treatment until she returned one day and said that she was totally cured (I have using the word… cured … when referring to therapy as human beings are helped to handle their lives much better, not cured like a piece of meat).

A Surprising and Disappointing Conclusion:

A few days after her final session, a reporter from the local newspaper phoned me, as she often did, to ask if I had any newsworthy items for her column. At that time I was appearing on television shows and many radio stations and was well known to much of the media. I explained that I had a client who was an ‘incurable’ hypochondriac and who was now off all medication and living a normal like. I would contact my client and ask if she would like to speak to the reporter but under no circumstances could I give a direct contact without permission.

I phoned the client and she was very excited to know she could be featured, both in writing and a photographs, in the local newspaper – her fifteen minutes of fame. All she asked was to give her until tomorrow to speak to her husband first and then she would phone back to make an appointment for the reporter to contact her.

The next day she phoned me and asked in a voice that showed total disappointment, if I would just forget the whole thing. She explained that she had excitedly informed her husband that she was going to have her photograph in the newspapers and he said, “What? You can’t do that. If you do the local Social Security Office will find out and stop your Disability Allowances, and you can get into trouble for not telling them you are now well.”

Life Between Lives – Hypnotherapy For Your Soul

Do you ever wonder who you really are?

Why are you here on Earth, and what is your purpose?

Where do you come from and where are you headed?

Do you ever wonder if there is life after life?

What happens when we die?

Is there anything, or they just turn out the light?

What if you discovered that it is possible to answer life’s eternal questions today, and in one sitting you could get responses to your fundamental inquiries from seemingly out of nowhere, from the eternal Universe.

What if you could suddenly “know” and “perceive a clear direction in your life, or a confirmation of your direction already taken. What if you could hear the guidance in words and messages, see the pictures from your future, feel the heavenly ecstasy of peace in the midst of everyday worries, perceive unconditional love and experience a clear sense of well-being?

Would you want such experience?

In this time of change we may find ourselves in a dire need of changing at least something in our lives. Perhaps, as simple as a thought of a change to feeling better about ourselves and about our situations, or as radical as a change of location, relationship, job, belief system, or eliminating fear. Any of those can create a feeling of resistance in knowing about change, and even fear, collapsing our will to change.

Fear drives many of us to perpetuate the ways we already prepared for ourselves in our life. Even if drowning in a swampy mud of present life in an unsightly metaphorical picture of your future, changing it and taking faith in moving to a dry piece of land with a bright sunshine “somewhere over the rainbow” for many of us is an impossible task to undertake.

In this case the action we think of taking is – NO ACTION.

As we all know well enough, no active action leads to leaving things like they are, wait and “see what happens”. Instead of taking the initiative to move on, many stay in a painful situation of uninvolved or abusive relationships, unloved jobs, and unhealthy diets, finding many reasons for themselves in saying “there is no other way for me”.

A client named Sandy (changed name) recently complained that loud noises in her apartment form her neighbors are unbearable. She tried reasoning with the person, appealed to the landlord, authorities, and all to no avail. She hit the wall in her situation, crying “I cannot even move out, I am flat broke, and I can’t stand that noise!”

She was desperate finding this last resort Hypnotherapy. Instead of common regressions, or even past life regressions, she braved to try the spiritual regression of Life Between Lives soul and spirit integration.

Sandy was able to gain a different perspective on her situation and find resolution to her quest. How? You would ask.

She found out that she made some decisions in her past that created her present situation, so there is no one to blame, and that she can reframe her attitude and make another decision going forward. She found the spiritual guidance leading her to the highest judgment and discovered that she was loved and was never judged, as judgment was a human concept created for instilling fear in children and adults in order to follow the rules.

She breathed out the negative reflection on her past, and allowed herself to look into the future filled with hope. She found it is possible for her to open up to accepting others as they are, and possibly even accepting herself as she is. After divine relaxed energy which creatively showered on her, cleansing and spiritually re-patterning, she re-gained confidence in herself and made necessary adjustments, finding peace. You are beginning to feel curious how she achieve all this, aren’t you?

In her spiritual regression, guided by her hypnotherapist, she continuously integrated the process of discovery and new directions into her present situations, thus creating the healing and promoting description for her healthy active steps in the next few days, months to come. Positive suggestions were then given to her to be able to continue to integrate the process in the time after the session.

BENEFITS

What if you could productively use the knowledge received from your eternal super-soul, integrate it into your life, begin projects, learn things that you always wanted. What if the benefits of this Life Between Lives process did not end here, and went on to more benefits:

• Releasing ALL fears

• releasing a fear of death

• Re-gaining a sense of inner peace

• Restoring relationship with your soul

• Getting clarity about your life’s purpose

Imagine discovering ways to:

• Make your decisions in such way so you never regret them

• Know your path

• Feel better about yourself

• Be sure that you are doing the right thing

• Become more confident

And therefore, learn the tools to

• Create the life that you desire

• And finally feel fulfilled

You uncover answers to many of your questions, for example the fundamental ones:

• Who you really are

• Who your soul mate is

• What you are doing here on earth now

• What your higher guidance is

• How to begin to receive clear messages and continue to communicate with your guidance

• How to stay youthful and re-juvenate when you need to.

The ultimate clear and beneficial results of this metaphoric approach to healing are that you open up to the possibilities rather than limitations. This leads to being open to embracing the idea of having:

• A happy life

• A great relationship

• Life fulfilling work

• Re-gaining a powerful feeling of self-confidence

• Love in your life

• Finding joy in your life

History of Life Between Lives

Consider this:

Your Soul is eternal, it is an eternal imprint of you in the Universe.

What does it look like?

It may be a benevolent light, a ball of energy of any color, with your highest purpose in mind, your guidance to make the right choices, fulfill you purpose. Take a leap of faith. Life Between Lives is an exploration of our eternal soul’s life between incarnations. As if the life on Earth is a job we go to fulfill and come back HOME after physical death.

So WHERE IS HOME? What do we do there? How do we learn? How do we decide on what body to pick for the next life, or how do we recognize our Soul Mate? How do we prepare for the next life and what is the process for learning and assessing the previous life?

If you accept a concept of mind travel, day-dreaming, past lives and reincarnation, why not leap to a possibility of looking into what happens in eternity, between incarnations?

Many authors had written volumes on study cases of those spontaneously remembering a past incarnation, a life in the past, sometimes accurately naming events, relationships and recognizing the energy of people with whom they met in the current life.

The idea of past lives in not new any more than the idea of religion, and in fact as old as humanity itself. But only relatively recently, sociologists, scientists and therapists began to view Past Lives as a healing process in mental relief of unhealthy symptoms caused by accumulating tension, leading to diseases, in a human body. Dr. Brian Weiss in his book Many Lives Many Masters, pioneered case studies and descriptions about relieving symptoms of long term discomfort and disease of his patients, which led to his personal transformation. As a traditional psychotherapist, a graduate of Yale University, he never previously believed in reincarnation, leave alone any work with such an idea as means of healing symptoms in a human body. Upon discovery through spontaneous regressions in one of his patient’s cases, he began his research and concluded that our consciousness has a memory that is longer that the length of our physical life. Subsequent to this idea, he developed an idea of past lives, future lives and a time between incarnation where a soul works toward attaining the necessary knowledge to continue with successful progression of its incarnations.

Since then under a supervision and guidance of trained hypnotherapists thousands of hypnotherapy clients accessed information on what we do when we GO HOME. Hypnotherapy had proven to be an effective tool to uncover our soul’s journeys reincarnating in various times and countries, allowing for clients in hypnosis to safely learn their “karmic lessons” and healing and releasing the negative influences, preconceived notions, accepting learning and new perspectives on their own life. Past lives healing process became a main stream tool for self-discovery of the path to release past hurts, negative patterns and reframing self-perceptions toward positive change.

The process of reincarnation and time in between reincarnations was deepened in an independent research by another psychotherapist, Dr. Michael Newton, also a clinical hypnotherapist. Over the last thirty plus years Dr. Newton further developed the process and called it a Life Between Lives spiritual integration. He repeatedly hypnotized thousands of his clients into a higher state of self discovery, into a Soul State, from which his clients independently of each other reported very similar to each other information. Through a series of sequent open-ended questions, comparison and thorough research, Dr. Newton had documented thousands of client cases and studies in his books “Journey of Souls” and “Destiny of Souls”. He found consistency in the information reported by clients in spiritual regressions, which allowed him to learn about the structure, nature and functions of the process. He outlined:

• souls categories

• the spirit world in general

Improve Your Sports Performance With Hypnotherapy

Many of us dream of one day improving our golf swing, having a better backhand on the tennis court or beating a personal best time during a run. Training and practice can achieve this, but hypnotherapy could also be used to help us reach our goals and make us better at our chosen sport.

Hypnosis techniques have long been used by golfing professionals but the therapy has become more popular in other sports including football, rowing, boxing and cricket. Sports men and women are increasingly aware of the benefits hypnosis can bring to improving their performance alongside other methods such as sports psychology.

Sports psychology uses imagery and mental rehearsal and is commonly used by someone like Tiger Woods. The psychological techniques Woods employs help him visualise his next shot and where the ball will go before ever having to swing a club. By using this rehearsal in his mind, he can ‘act out’ a perfect shot which then aids him mentally as he actually steps up to strike the ball for real.

This works because the mind and body are linked in such a way that by preparing the mind in advance, there is a chance the body will react exactly as you would want it. But don’t think it’s just for professionals, it’s for amateur and recreational sports men and women too. Although you may not want to become a champion, poor performance can affect your enjoyment of a sport and we all want to finish a game or run feeling happy rather than disappointed don’t we? Hypnosis can get you to a level where you can be proud of your performance again and enjoy the sport you take part in.

So how can hypnotherapy help? The therapy works by accessing your sub-conscious (the part of the mind where good and bad memories are stored) and where you keep information about previous performances. By focusing on only the good performances, you can push the bad out of mind preventing you from recalling past mistakes again. With those bad experiences gone, there is less chance of repeating them when playing. You can then just focus on a picture of exactly what you want to do, how you’re going to do it and the feelings associated with getting it right. This is known as an ‘anchoring state’ which can be important when asking your body to react in a certain way.

How does this happen? A hypnotherapist will induce you into a trance-like state which slows your heart-rate and breathing. You will remain in total control during this and the sensation is one of deep relaxation rather than sleep. Once this achieved, the therapist will use beneficial suggestion to help you control your sub-conscious mind and allow you to alter behaviour and feelings that have previously been detrimental to your sporting performance. The process will also remove any anxiety, free up tension in the muscles and boost your confidence.

Hypnotherapy is widely used in sports men and women with long-term injuries too, helping them on the road to recovery. A stretch out of the game can hamper form and leave you with feelings of anger and fear. These negative forces can prolong the injury if not addressed and hypnosis is one way of helping you back.

Belief in your ability plays a major part in your sporting performance and hypnotherapy can increase this greatly. Hypnosis is a natural state of mind and its applications can be used for therapeutic purposes and performance enhancement. Many hypnotherapists specialise in sports performance and are happy to work with individuals as well as teams so get in touch with your local practitioner for further advice on what hypnotherapy can do for you.

Hypnotherapy for Confidence – Discover the Great Orator. You!

Not many of us give ourselves the credit of being great speakers; neither do we find ourselves comfortable and confident when encountering new people and situations. How often have you found yourself rehearsing the lines which you are supposed to speak at tomorrow’s meeting? Even though some of us might feel more confident than the rest, it would not be untrue to say that they too have their fair share of cold feet. Sudden bouts of nervousness and palpitations do not indicate that you are having a serious health condition; in most cases it just indicates a lack of self confidence. It would be safe to say that nearly 90% of all humanity suffers from low confidence; if only we could find a magic lamp to cure us of it. Well, I am here to tell you that such a magic lamp exists and it is called hypnotherapy for confidence; and it generally comes in the form of CD’s , audio tapes, books and therapists like me!

So now that we have mentioned that hypnotherapy for confidence is actually a plausible option available to you first let’s discuss how low confidence affects us in everyday life. See, a person’s confidence is like torchlight in the dark…it radiates outwards from us and other people can see it. So even though low self confidence is an internal problem, the affects of it can be seen externally as well. How many of us remember sniggering at someone in school who faltered while reciting something? It is a natural reaction for most of us, but it can be damaging to the person at the receiving end. However, if you suffer from low self-confidence you need to realize that it has a lot to do with your self image; the way you perceive yourself is reflected in the way others perceive you.

Low self confidence can blindside you at any situation in life – exam nerves, fear of public speaking, of being interviewed, of meeting new people, stage fright, fear of being laughed at and so on. Some of us have more visible physical reactions to low confidence…sweating, stammering, shaking, blushing; these are all by products of low confidence. Hypnotherapy first helps you address the core problem of low confidence – your self image in your own eyes. Through positive suggestions about yourself, hypnosis helps you get rid of unwanted beliefs about yourself. It helps remove the clutter in your mind, and clears the path towards discovering a new you. Through the help of hypnotherapy for confidence, you can take care of most problems related to anxiety and low confidence.

When you suffer from a bout of nerves and are low on confidence, you need to channelize that negative energy somewhere else. Do you know that most great orators at one point in time have suffered from a serious case of nerves? Some of the biggest rockstars and actors still get cold feet two minutes before they appear on stage, so don’t berate yourself too much if you feel nervous; its but natural. However what you need to tackle is the fear of the situation; and hypnotherapy for confidence can help you do that. By working on your inner confidence and making you aware of all the positives in you, hypnotherapy clears your mind, and this clarity is manifested externally through a sense of self confidence and assertiveness.

Remember, nerves can be dealt with, only if you want to deal with yourself first.

How Hypnotherapy Can Ease Even The Most Severe Headache

s experience headaches from time to time. Usually they just fade away after a fairly brief period and then they are gone, with no real damage done. Chronic headaches, however, ones that recur with regularity can really interfere with our healthy functioning, affecting our relationships and work life and seriously compromising us in so many areas of our existence. It’s important to remember that if a severe headache lasts for 24 hours or more, or if it is accompanied by vomiting or blurred vision, then you need to visit your doctor immediately. Generally speaking, there are two different kinds of headache – tension and cluster. (Migraine is something more than a headache and will be treated in a seperate article.) Speaking from a strictly medical perspective, the actual cause of both these types of headache is unknown. Often though, tension headaches are exactly what the name suggests. They seem to be triggered by stress and tension, anxiety, depression and emotional discomfort. Poor posture can also play a part in the onset of this kind of headache, as can really bright light, food sensitivities, menstrual periods and even the weather. Painkillers such as aspirin, paracetamol and ibuprofen can often help with the milder kind of headache, but the body can easily become habituated to these pharmaceuticals, greatly reducing their effectiveness. Also, withdrawal headaches can occur when these substances are withdrawn. Cluster headaches also sometimes appear to be triggered by such things as alcohol, odours and changes in temperature. Of course, they can just as simply appear with no clear and apparent reason at all. This particular kind of headache just doesn’t respond well to over the counter medication. Drugs available on a doctor’s prescription include Sumatriptan and Ergotamine, but these powerful pharmaceuticals, like most others, can have considerable side-effects. How much better it would be if we were able to access our own inner ability to manage headaches, rather than having to depend on some external chemical substance for relief. And it is here that modern hypnotherapy can be or real assistance and value. With expertly delivered modern hypnotherapy your own subconscious mind can be taught to manage headaches without recourse to external medications and drugs. Through advanced transformational hypnotherapy you can learn how to turn any headache into an insubstantial mist that can simply be exhaled and dissipated, leaving you free to continue your day with a clear mind. In hypnosis you can learn to recognise the headache triggers before they occur – and then do something about them. You can learn to reverse the process that actually generates the headache, thereby putting you in control and fully empowering you. Headaches really don’t need to ruin your day or control your enjoyment of it. With the right kind of hypnotherapy you can draw a line under the pain and inconvenience of headaches and get on with your life.

What Is The Difference Between Hypnotherapy And Hypnosis?

What is the difference between hypnosis and hypnotherapy? The difference is that hypnosis is a natural state of mind. When you’re under hypnosis, you feel relaxed. It’s a lot like that wonderful feeling of high that you feel when you’re lying in your bed after a long day’s work. You feel so overcome with comfort that you just want that moment to e able to last forever.

Through some simple relaxation techniques, you can attain that same state. With the assistance of a trained hypnotherapist, you can get back into that state of well being and reach goals such as weight loss, quitting smoking and realizing a happier life.

Hypnotherapy is also known as self-hypnosis. This can be a very powerful and effective tool to help yourself change and experience a higher quality of life. You can begin to ask yourself certain questions such as;

1. What do I want my life to be like 1 , 2 or 3 years from now? Make sure you are detailed and honest with your answers here. You don’t need to be reasonable, its about what you really want!

2. What changes do I need to make in order for this to come about? Again, logic is not your friend here. Be creative, be outrageous, and have fun. What changes do you think you’ll have to do in your way of thinking?

3. Could anything negative come about from making these changes? Can you think of any drawbacks from making these changes?

4. How much do I really want the things I want? This may make you realize that some things you thought you wanted, you really don’t want, but instead you may want something different.

Try to spend a few hours or even the rest of the day thinking about these questions. When people are anxious or stressed, they often think about negative things all day long. So why not begin to also give those things you want in your life more room to think about. This is a much deeper way of thinking and this is the level at which hypnotherapy has shown to have proven results.

Some people may claim that they have never been hypnotized or that they cannot be hypnotized. These people may not fully understand what hypnosis is all about. Just about everyone has drifted off while being in a class room. Just about everyone has daydreamed or drifted while driving somewhere and forgot where they were driving to. And just about everyone has gone somewhere else while being absorbed in reading a book. These are all perfect examples of hypnosis. The great thing about hypnosis is that with a trained professional, it will not produce any damaging side effects and can help provide positive changes.

What is involved in hypnotherapy? There is a two step process that goes on between the client and the therapist or professional. A person cannot be hypnotized against their own will. That means he or she has to agree to cooperate. While being hypnotized, nobody can make you do anything that you don’t want to do. Even people on TV or in movies that are barking like dogs, or hopping on one foot pretending to be Napoleon are doing it because they want to do it. They have chosen to participate in that hypnosis. Also, those people on TV are doing something that is called “stage hypnosis”. This type of hypnosis is very different from clinical hypnosis.

The first phase of hypnotherapy involves a consultation. In the consultation you’ll probably answer some questions that are posed by your therapist. They are to establish the nature of your problems and issues. They will also help the therapist to craft a plan to deal and work through them. The next step is hypnosis. This can be done in a variety of ways. Most likely, you’ll be gently lead by your therapist voice into a state where your entire body and mind become deeply relaxed. You’ll be so deeply relaxed as to almost be asleep. To someone looking on, you may seem as if you’re totally asleep, but in fact you will be awake although very relaxed. In addition, the parts of your mind that your therapist will be working with will also be awake and listening. It will feel much like a daydream. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, you have the option terminating the session. Remember, the hypontherapists job is to help you.
